Kurukshetra University Chaudhary Devi Lal Post Graduate Regional Centre Sirsa was set up during the year 2000. Later on in April 2003 it was declared as full-fledged University named as Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa. The University had been recognized by the University Grants Commission and declared eligible for Central Assistance under Section 12 (B) of UGC Act vide UGC letter No. F.9-17/2003 (CPP-1) dated 17.02.2009.
1. Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) is a state university located at Sirsa, Haryana, named after Chaudhary Devi Lal, the former Deputy Prime Minister of India. 2. It was established by the Government of Haryana on 5 April 2003. It has 16 teaching departments with 40 courses 3. The university offers courses at UG and PG level in multiple specializations. CDLU Admission is done on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying examination.
